Single-Session Play Classes
Signing Smart offers a variety of single-session Play Classes in multiple community venues. Each of these programs is unique in terms of the signs taught and the activities and songs used. They all incorporate Signing Smart Strategies designed to make each parent's and baby's signing journey fun and successful - from the very first day through the preschool years:

Preview Classes: Many instructors run Preview Classes to allow you to experience first hand the magic of Signing Smart before the beginning of a session. Call your local instructor to see if there are any upcoming Preview Classes in your area. Don't forget to ask about scheduling one for your mom's group or neighborhood babysitting-swap! Toddler Time: You will find Signing Smart programming for Toddler Times at children's museums, zoos, and other child-friendly locations. This is a fun-filled class for active toddlers and parents and is great either as an introduction to ongoing Signing Smart Play Classes or as a one-time outing with a unique twist. Story Times: Signing Smart Story Times are often hosted by libraries and bookstores, but they can also be scheduled by private groups as well! Developed to reach a board range of ages, bring your older toddler or preschooler along with your baby and enjoy signing and playing with Signing Smart! Zoo Series: The Zoo Series is a 3-week (as opposed to single-session) program, and what better way to help your child learn about animals than through this hands-on experience? Each session includes three parts: Stay and Play theme-based play class portion led by a Signing Smart Instructor; Meet and Greet, where a theme-related animal friend is introduced, co-run by your Signing Smart Instructor and a zoo educator; and Tour and Explore, where families are able to discover the animals they learned about in class by exploring the zoo.
